The holidays are here, and WOW does our city have a lot of exciting things going on! From parades to “snow days,” there will be something for all ages to enjoy over the next few weeks. The typically mild weather in the South makes the holiday season great for experiencing outdoor activities with our neighbors and our visitors.
We are kicking off the festivities with Christmas in the Park, our annual Christmas celebration, on December 6. Enjoy hot cocoa, the lighting of the Christmas tree, carolers and, of course, a visit with Santa. Join us for this fun, nostalgic gathering in Heritage Park in downtown Foley.
Plan to begin the next day – Saturday, December 7 – by attending the Foley Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. Participants will line the streets of downtown to see the Kiwanis Club’s annual Christmas celebration. Floats, boats and cars will be decorated in a holiday theme for all to see. Snap some pictures and catch some candy, then grab your mittens for what might be the “coolest” event of the weekend: Let It Snow!
That’s right – you’ll be treated to your very own snow day on December 7, directly after the Christmas Parade. Our Let It Snow event will feature “snow”, live music, and even story time with Mrs. Claus! Kids can enjoy arts and crafts and more during this activity-filled day.
Enjoy these and more festive events in Foley this month. We can’t wait to see everyone!
