Spring in Foley means festivals, music and more

Spring is just around the corner with a packed schedule of festivals, music, food and more. From catchy tunes at Midday Melodies to delicious bites at BBQ and Blues and the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival, you are sure to have an incredible time in Foley.

This March the city will be hosting four weeks of Midday Melodies in Foley’s Heritage Park from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. This year’s line-up includes Wiley Pete, Just Roger Josh Chavers and Zack Chavers. The Foley Masonic Lodge will be on site each week selling meal deals. Get your friends together for lunch and enjoy an assortment of musical talents at Foley’s Midday Melodies in Heritage Park.

Also in March, on the second Saturday, BBQ and Blues returns to Heritage Park. Enjoy great food, popular blues bands, children’s activities, and a raffle. All proceeds support the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation.

In May, Foley is the spot for high-flying adventure and family fun at the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival. Enjoy the entertainment, arts and crafts displays and more at the festival site daily! Balloon flights, glows and tethered rides (weather permitting) add to the fun at dawn and dusk. That’s just the beginning, so be sure to keep your calendar clear for a whole weekend of Balloon Festival fun May 2, 3 and 4.

But wait – there’s more! The following weekend, May 11-12, is the Annual Art in the Park.  This annual arts and crafts event is sponsored by the Foley Art Center to raise funds for local art scholarships. Held Mother’s Day weekend, it features more than 110 exhibitors displaying and selling their original works. Live entertainment, a children’s activity area, and a variety of food all make for the perfect day out with Mom!
