The annual BBQ & Blues Cook-off started in 2009 as one of the Foundations biggest fundraisers. It is an outdoor food and music event held in Downtown Foley’s Heritage Park the third Saturday of March. An Alabama Barbecue Association Trail event, the barbecue cook-off attracts both corporate and individual teams competing for bragging rights in several award categories.
Festival goers enjoy great food, popular blues bands, children’s activities, and a raffle.
All proceeds support the Chamber Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of event sponsors and volunteers, the impact on our community and schools increases each year.
The BBQ & Blues Cook-Off is a gated/ticketed event. Tickets for the event this weekend are $10. They can be purchased at the gate the day of or at the chamber anytime this week. The $10 ticket buys a bracelet that entitles the wearer to a taste from each of the grill teams as long as they have food. For most folks, this will be plenty. Also available are BBQ sandwiches for $6. It includes a sandwich, a bag of chips and a pickle.
Funds raised support the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation: Enriching education, developing leadership, and bettering our community.
