Y’all ready for some fall flavor? It seems everyone gets excited about pumpkin spice, but that’s not the only seasonal flavor to enjoy in autumn.

You’re in for a treat when you discover all the fresh produce and seafood at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market, located at 20733 Miflin Road (County Road 20), offers a variety of locally grown veggies such as squash, greens, eggplant, sweet potatoes and more.

You can also find fresh yard eggs; local honey; canned fruits, vegetables and preserves; and even fresh baked goods.

Want some ideas for autumn dishes? Start by toasting acorn squash seeds in the oven and eating them as you would pumpkin seeds.
