Foley Railroad Museum
& Model Train Exhibit

No visit in Foley, Alabama is ever complete without visiting the Foley Railroad Museum. The museum is housed in the Louisville and Nashville railroad station built in 1908 located in the heart of Downtown Foley. Catch a glimpse into the history and culture of Foley and Baldwin County. The museum contains reminders of the days when Foley was a thriving agricultural center and the railroad played a major role in its prosperity.

If you stop by on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday be sure to see the Model Train Exhibit. Kids of all ages enjoy the O-gauge train exhibit, an expansive model layout complete with 84 freight cars and a variety of engines and train cars that travel over a quarter mile of track. It was built and is operated by the dedicated volunteers of the Caboose Club. The museum-quality exhibit was featured in the September 2019 issue of Classic Toy Trains Magazine. The trains are operated by talented volunteers called the Caboose Club.

Saturdays year-round, you can take a ride around Heritage Park on the Ebert Express II. Our conductor and assistant will help you board the train to enjoy a 10-15 minute journey in Downtown Foley. The express also runs Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Summer.

All these activities are free. Afterwards be sure to explore Downtown Foley. You can grab a coffee at a local coffee shop, have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant or check out some of our downtown shops.
