kayaking at Graham Creek PreserveEveryone loves a bargain. One of our favorite shopping days in Foley is spent perusing the finds along our Bargain Hunters Thrift Trail. Grab a friend or two and hit the trail! From south Foley to downtown to north Foley, you’ll find pocketbook-friendly prices on clothing, furniture, books, video games and much more.

When you start to feel a bit hungry during your bargain hunt, Foley’s options for delicious foods are endless. Take a look at our dining list and choose your favorite cuisine.

For an adventure on the water, load up your kayak and head over to the Graham Creek Nature Preserve. From the launch, it’s a scenic 2-mile paddle to Wolf Bay and all the amazing sights and sounds of the coastal backwaters. Groups of four to eight people can contact Foley’s Environmental Department at Graham Creek Interpretive Center to request a guided paddle.

If you just want to enjoy the outdoors, Graham Creek’s approximately 500 acres of natural habitat include three basket disc golf courses, a picnic area, an archery range, playground, walking trails and more for family fun.

To celebrate the unofficial first weekend of summer, plans are in the works at OWA for a Memorial Day weekend celebration featuring fireworks on Saturday, May 29, at 8:45 p.m. (weather permitting). Visit our website  for all the exciting events in the Foley area.
