If your idea of the Christmas season includes lots of lights, children’s activities and Santa sightings, you are in for a happy holiday with the events on the Foley calendar.

The annual arts and crafts expo Trim-A-Tree gets everyone in the holiday spirit starting on Nov. 11. It’s open daily through Dec. 21 at the Tanger Outlet Center.

Locals know the annual market offers extraordinary, one-of-a-kind ornaments, jewelry, artwork and more. Most of the artists are local to Foley, but they also come from throughout the area. The event, sponsored by the Foley Art Center, is a traditional favorite.

If shopping is not your thing, you won’t miss out – Foley has plenty of exciting activities planned. Celebrate with carols, Santa and the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree at the annual Christmas in the Park celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 in John B. Foley Park.

That traditional event is followed on Saturday, Dec. 3, by the annual Foley Christmas Parade, then Let It Snow in the park. Enjoy all the floats, festivities and goodies of the parade that starts at 10 a.m., but bring your gloves and wear a jacket because beginning at 11 a.m. there will be snow in Foley!

So get the family in the holiday mood as Foley decks its halls for the Christmas season!
