SUMMARY:Marketing Workshop for Local Businesses
DESCRIPTION:Foley Main Street will host a practical marketing workshop designed to help local businesses attract more customers through creative visibility strategies on Tuesday\, March 31 at Riviera Utilities. \nThe workshop\, Creative Ways to Attract Customers Without a Big Budget\, will be presented by Lindsay Schumacher\, owner and president of L. Schumacher Consulting. Schumacher works with businesses across the Gulf Coast and Southeast to strengthen branding\, marketing strategy\, and digital presence. \nTwo sessions will be offered to accommodate business owners’ schedules. A morning session will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a light breakfast provided. An afternoon session will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with snacks provided. \nDuring the workshop\, Schumacher will walk attendees through practical marketing fundamentals including customer psychology\, simple branding strategies\, and creative ways businesses can increase visibility without large marketing budgets. The session will also explore real world examples such as community partnerships\, customer advocacy\, social media visibility\, and other creative marketing ideas that successful small businesses are using today. \nThe workshop is designed for both new and established business owners and focuses on practical ideas that can be implemented immediately. \nSeating for each session is limited and early registration is encouraged. \nRegistration is free for Foley Main Street supporters. The cost is $15 for businesses located in the Downtown Foley area that are not current supporters and $25 for businesses outside the Downtown Foley area that are not supporters. \nBusinesses can register at Foley Main Street website. \nFoley Main Street plans to continue the business education series throughout the spring with additional workshops scheduled for May 5 and June 2 covering topics designed to help local businesses strengthen their marketing and digital presence. \nFor questions or additional information\, contact Darrelyn Dunmore with Foley Main Street at 251.270.0089 or darrelyn@foleymainstreet.com.

DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with several City of Foley departments and other local groups\, the Foley Public Library is hosting a Touch-A-Truck event on October 11th from 9-11 a.m. This event allows families to explore and interact with various types of vehicles including trucks\, emergency vehicles\, construction equipment\, and even some farm equipment. Attendees will have the chance to sit in the trucks and learn about the functions of the vehicles from their operators. It’s a hands-on experience that aims to engage and educate people of all ages about different types of vehicles and their uses. This is a free event\, however food trucks will also be on site to allow attendees to purchase food. Be sure to stop by the Library for this unique experience. You won’t want to miss it!
