During the Christmas season, Centennial Plaza in Heritage Park becomes ablaze with beautiful holiday lights to complement the Christmas Tree Village. On Friday and Saturday nights, from 6 to 6:30 p.m., it includes its own soundtrack of holiday chimes ringing from the tower bells.
Being at Centennial Plaza in December feels like stepping inside a Christmas card or onto the set of a Hallmark holiday movie.
How about an old-fashioned outing for the whole family? When you take the kids to see the Christmas village and the city’s Christmas tree in John B. Foley Park, the lights and chimes of Centennial Plaza are only steps away.
Stopping by without children? Meandering through the plaza can provide a sweet, romantic outing during the holiday season. Just the two of you. Make it a date night and enjoy dinner at one of the many Foley restaurants.
You can’t help but think of the words to “Silver Bells” while taking a stroll:
“City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style. In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.”
We’re happy to help you recall thoughts of yesteryear as you create new memories here in Foley.
