Discover a lovely way to spend Mother’s Day weekend: the 45th Art in the Park on May 13-14 in downtown Foley.

The juried fine arts fest showcases talents of roughly 100 Southern artists. The Foley Art Center organized the event to be small, but upscale. Art displayed across the lawn creates a wonderful panorama in the shaded John B. Foley Park.

Artists provide unique cultural experiences via hands-on demonstrations both days of the event. Browse craft and yard art booths, and be sure to admire the artwork of area students, too.

Plenty of food and drinks are available for sale, and musicians provide entertainment.

The event draws thousands of visitors each year. Admission and parking are free, and the new pedestrian bridge across Highway 59 makes getting to the show even easier.

Art in the Park provides a wonderful shopping experience where you can support local artists by purchasing their work.

It’s also a way to support the Foley Art Center, which has served the Alabama coast for almost 50 years. The center provides cultural enrichment programs, scholarships and art classes.
