Ready to get a kayak out on the water around Foley? We’ve got some great options, including the city’s Wolf Creek Park at 9575 Wolf Creek Road. This is one of the newer parks in Foley and was designed with eco-tourism in mind.

The 20-acre site off Baldwin County 20 on Hance Lane includes a canoe-kayak launch area, fishing pier, pavilion for picnicking and portable restrooms.

It’s a perfect place to park your car, launch your boat and do some paddling. The site has paddling for every skill level. The freshwater creeks allow for paddle boarding, or you can head downstream to Wolf Bay for a little more of a challenge.

And you read that right. We said “creeks,” as in more than one. When you paddle north of the launch, you come to an intersection of two waterways, Wolf and Sandy Creeks. Both offer peaceful, easy paddling with plenty of shade.

The launch makes it super-easy to get your boat (or board) in and out of the water.

The setting is wonderfully peaceful and seems a million miles from the hustle and bustle of the highway just a few miles away.

If you don’t have your own canoe or kayak, no problem. Just hit up one of the local outfitters like BeachnRiver Kayak Rentals in Foley.

So what are you waiting on? This is the perfect time of year to get in a paddle on one of the beautiful waterways around Foley.
